Helen Zughaib, Patterns of Migration
August 25 - May 8, 2027
For the sixth iteration of The Art Wall Project, Helen Zughaib ’81 uses her characteristic bright color palette and intricate patterns to explore the stories of people’s displacement from their homes. By painting migration narratives from her own family’s history and our contemporary experiences, Zughaib considers how this global movement of individuals has shaped America as we know it today.
Generous support for this exhibition is provided by the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA).
The Syracuse University Art Museum’s Art Wall initiative is dedicated to site-specific works by emerging and leading contemporary artists, commissioned annually.
