Join the Syracuse University Art Museum for an inspiring keynote talk by acclaimed art historian Alexander Nemerov (Stanford University). Discover unexpected links between the museum, influential art critic and Syracuse alum Clement Greenberg, and pioneering Abstract Expressionist Helen Frankenthaler.
Students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to learn how Syracuse’s artistic legacy connects to some of the most influential figures in modern art.
Free and open to all with a reception in the Shaffer Galleria to follow where visitors can view the current exhibition “What If I Try This?”: Helen Frankenthaler in the 20th-Century Print Ecosystem.
