Scholars, researchers and students are encouraged to research the Syracuse University Art Museum’s extensive collection. The museum’s permanent collection of 45,000 artworks from 3500 BCE to present day includes important holdings from many areas of the world.
The Museum staff are available to consult with all researchers to identify ways that the museum can best support your research goals, helping identify relevant works of art, participate in virtual conversations or examinations of objects, and share research materials such as collections data, object files, treatment records, and archival documents.
If you are requesting an appointment, please note that we require at least six (6) weeks’ notice.
