The Syracuse University Art Museum is free and open to the public, serving as the arts and cultural hub of campus. Education through the visual arts is central to our mission. Through a multitude of activities and public programs, we are committed to fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of art and its role in society, striving to foster diverse and inclusive perspectives. The Museum welcomes all visitors to experience its exhibitions and public programs that promote original research, creative thinking, and increased mindfulness.
The Museum draws upon a wide range of teaching staff for its educational programs which includes Pre-K - 12; university, and adult learners. In addition to the professional educators and curators on staff, we frequently invite scholars, artists, and community members to present special lectures and programs as well as facilitate learning opportunities both on campus and in the Central New York community.
